About Us

Broadclyst Village church copyright Steve MallonBroadclyst football club is located in the peaceful village of Broadclyst nestled in the heart of rural devon. It is a civil parish that lies approximately 5 miles northeast of the city of Exeter, Devon. Broadclyst has been twinned since 2006 with the French village of Plobannalec-Lesconil, in southern Finistère in Brittany. This twinning was formalised in 2010 and the twinning links are now very active and enthusiastic on both sides.

The football club was initially established in 1992 with very few youth teams. However times have changed and now we are more weighted towards youth football and we only recently re-established our first team in the Exeter & Districts Sunday league.

The football club is a non profit making organisation and has varying age groups (teams) from Under 7's right the way through to Under 16's making up our youth contingent of squads, with the teams based at various pitches throughout the village. We do also have a senior team, so that as the youth progress, they have an adult First team to filter in to. All money received (the majority of which is from the generosity of local businesses) is ploughed back into the teams to provide the best possible facilities and equipment for the players at the club.

At present the club is looking in to the feasilbilty of starting up a ladies team, along with a girls team.

All coaches give up their time and effort on a voluntary basis and their involvment is driven by the desire to enable our young players to really enjoy the game of football and encourage a real team spirit in a safe environment.
